Imagine a world perpetually attached to one season. Our Earth is unique among the other planets in our solar system. It is tilted on its axis and exactly the correct distance away from the sun to promote life and landscape year around. This is the cause of our four seasons. Seasons change weather, terrain, and animal lifestyle. The seasons work together to revive the soil and species we depend on. Different animals, insects, and plants are born and thrive within specific seasons. If there were no change in seasons it would affect all living organisms. We would chance losing a multitude of animals and plants.
When most people think of winter they think of Christmas, snow skiing, and hot chocolate. What if winter never ended? In the winter, weather begins to get cold. Areas experience snow, ice, and freezing rain. Some animals go into hibernation or migration and many plants become dormant or die. Close to 2,000 birds migrate north to south each winter. In some places there are avalanches, blizzards, and the water freezes. Winter also brings the flu virus. Studies show cold, dry conditions allow the flu virus to stay in the air. It can be described as the cooling off season. Temperatures begin to drop and vegetation grows dormant. People, animals, and plants prepare for the winter. It is a time of gathering food, harvesting crops, and hunting. According to the U.S. department of Agriculture, in 2015, an average of 795 pounds per harvest acre of crops were harvested. At that rate and without a spring replanting season, crops would be used up quickly. Soil would eventually become unusable because there would be no changes in climate or crop rotation to rejuvenate the soil and grow new crops. The wild game would be hunted to extinction. Fawns, which are grazing animals, have less chance of survival in fall because of colder weather and plants becoming

Climate Change is severely affecting animals that rely on land and specific food sources. This is true because once an animals land is destroyed it removes their food source as well. For example the Giant Panda's diet revolves around bamboo. Now that climate change is ruining bamboo forests the panda is left with little to no food. This forces them to migrate from their low elevation habitats, to higher elevations like mountains.…

1.Because of the Earths daily rotation it causes the sun to appear to rise in the east and set in the west so it creates a day and night so the moon relies on the sun to set and rise during a certain time in the hemisphere 2.The seasons result from the 23.5-degree tilt of the Earth's axis combined with its revolution around the sun 3.The Moon's and Sun's gravitational pulls on Earth are responsible for this natural phenomenon creating the tides. Tides occur because the Moon's gravity decreases with distance from the Moon. 4. A lunar eclipse occurs when the Earth is positioned directly between the Sun and the Moon and the Earth casts a shadow on Moon.…

The seasons are created by the tilt, 23.5 degrees, of the Earth’s axis and the position of the Earth in terms of its revolution around the Sun. A hemisphere will experience summer when it is tilted towards the Sun, while the other hemisphere experiences winter. If a hemisphere is tilted towards the Sun, it is receiving more sunlight and therefore it must be summer. This works the other way around as well; if a hemisphere is tilted away from the Sun, it is receiving less sunlight and therefore it is winter. At the end of the day, the seasons exist because of the Earth’s tilted axis and its revolutions around the Sun.…

I can determine the author's style in the book, In November. The author's style is cold and empty with a lot figurative language. I know this because the author was using a gracious amount of figurative language to show that everything was cold and white, and that most of the animals were either leaving or asleep. In the text, the author said that Earth was getting a winter bed which was white and silent. This, which is an example of personification, means that the cold, white snow has covered Earth's surface.…

The reason why we have seasons is because the 23.5° tilt of the earth exposes the northern hemisphere more towards the sun which in effect causes the warmer seasons and when it’s tilted away it causes cooler seasons. Moreover, it would affect temperatures and weather pattern across the earth. The weather would be the same all across the world. So if it’s a wet area it would be wet all season long, same if it was dry. This would impact the population distribution and it may create an imbalance on earth and it’s natural habitat and inhabitants.…

Other variations like the tilt and precession of Earth also affects the natural warming and cooling process of the climate. The Earth’s angle determines the intensity of the season changes. For example, if the planet has an increasing axial tilt, the contrast increases so the summer would be warmer and winter will be colder. Precession is the wobbling of the Earth on its axis back and forth. It determines how long or short the seasons would be.…
