Four Perfect Pebbles Character Analysis

>The Holocaust. A noun. The genocide of European Jews and other groups by the Nazis during World War II. This is one definition of The Holocaust. There may be other definitions between different people. But for Marion Lazan Blumental, it’s a whole other dictionary.
In Four Perfect Pebbles, young Marion Blumenthal (age nine) must go through many hardships, along with her Mama, Papa, and her older brother, Albert. This must have startled the Blumenthals’ because it was in the wee hours of the morning and the officers were searching the apartment they were living in-even though they were given a warning. The Gestapo took their car keys, and Walter (Marion’s father). Ruth wondered, “...Where were they taking Papa? Would we ever see him again?” This shows when the Nazi started to stress the Blumenthal family, considering how they took away their husband and father. This probably excited most families considering how they can finally immigrate or they can go back home without grief. Yet they couldn’t leave Tröbitz “until the typhus academic had abated.” (Four Perfect Pebbles, Chapter 6, Page 97) As the month ended, and June began, Walter Blumenthal passed of the same disease that was spreading around the village.
