A university life can be very hectic if one chooses not to utilize their time wisely. Heavy assignment work load, attending lectures, conducting presentations, meeting deadlines and preparing for final exams can be extremely stressful for students. Hence, students must know the importance of time management and how to manage their time. According to Carter, Bishop and Kravits (2011), there are four methods in managing time efficiently which is building a schedule, making your schedule work for you, fighting procrastination and being flexible.

Occasionally, plans do not end up the way that a student wants it to be. Students must be able to make a decision and handle unpredicted or unforeseen situations well based on the circumstances. Sometimes we have no control of what will happen however it is through flexibility student will be able to handle situations efficiently. For instance, if a student is stuck in a very bad jam and couldn’t attend the class on time, he or she should request for class notes and ask for guidance on what they have missed. Therfore, in this method, For an example, a student might already have made an appointment to seek a lecturer’s advice on a certain project but due to a slight change in plan, the student might not be able to make it to the appointment.
