The things I chose to be in the top five most important things in us history list stated my thoughts on the matter. I chose Christopher Columbus’ “discovery of America,” revolutionary war, World War 2, and finally nine eleven. I think you can all agree on the thoughts but I’m going to explain why they're important for an FYI.
I personally think that Christopher Columbus “founding America” was the most important thing. If he didn’t found America would have eventually of been founded. Then it probably wouldn't be called America. Also we could have been founded by India or Russia or china or something then they probably wouldn't have the same problem we had with England. We wouldn't have had any of the great presidents that we had such as George Washington or Abraham Lincoln. We wouldn't have freedom of speech either.
The third most important thing would have to be the civil war. Why i think it is so important is that if we lost or it never happened there would still be slaves. On top of that we wouldn't have had all the black icons we have today. Not only wouldn’t that but Abraham Lincoln have been assassinated for freeing all the slaves. Mainly because he never became president.
The fourth most important I thought would have to be World War 2. This isn't exactly important but it was a huge part of our history. It was important for other countries but not really for America.
