Found Poems Details: The words that I chose were both simplistic and meaningful. Almost every word that I chose revolves around discovery, simply because my theme is self-discovery. The ideas presented within my poem are driven by both the meaning and flow of words. Within the poem, darkness represents a state of not knowing (Absent of discovery). Light in the poem represents knowledge (awareness and discovery of oneself). When the darkness fades away, light envelopes the character and he sees who he really is through the act of self-discovery. In the dark you cannot see anything until light is present.
