This 25- year old African American, single, mother of three children comes to Terrell County Department of Family and Children’s services from The Department of Foster Care Services, as a referral intake following her first allegation of an unfit parent due to substance on June 11, 2015. The client was not tested because she admitted drug use and she was positive for marijuana at the baby’s birth. Ms. Jabez admitted she was stressed out and this was why she used marijuana. Ms. Jabez stated she was sexually abused, raped, and was in foster care. Also, she reported she has a psychological process with the Renaissance Center and diagnosed with Anxiety and PTSD, she denied any mental health treatment since 2013. The foster mother reported

Ms. Jabez stated that she is required to take a drug test randomly and she is not fearful. Some resources that are available at DFCS would be entering a substance abuse counseling service, therapy and treatment, as well as an intervention plan from June 11, 2015 through October 28, 2015 in making progress. She is participating in parenting, fitness and striving to complete her assessments and negative drug screens. Also, applying for resources such as food stamps to provide adequate nourishment for the children, seeking employment and child care services. Ms. Jabez currently has been cooperative with DFCS and is now diligently working on a case plan with a goal of completing all negative drug screens or remaining drug free. Ms. Jabez gets the baby appointments from the foster mother so that she can attend. Also, Ms. Jabez follow-up with visitation and have weekly scheduled visit supervised by a supervisor. Ms Jabez appears to diligently work on a plan for reunification of her baby because of the married father is punitive per DNA test. The father of her baby and wife is interested in the child as a placement source. Ms. Jabez will demonstrate that she is able to support her three children and that her drug condition is temperate and she will complete the
