A lot of times, foster children are left to fend for themselves once they turn 18. A lot of foster parents only carry out the minimum requirements given from the state. After the age of 18, foster parents are no longer legally reliable for the children they take in. Fallacious notions have been made regarding the entire population of foster care children.
