Fortinbras The Significance Of King Hamlet

Hamlet is a play composed by William Shakespeare that describes the terror and fears that a young prince is faced with after the death of his father, Hamlet. Prince Hamlet is distraught after the death of his father, not to include his mother marrying his uncle, Hamlet’s brother, right after the funeral. While grieving the loss, two guards name Marcellus and Bernardo have been talking about the mysterious ghost that has been coming around the kingdom at night, who looks very similar to King Hamlet, who’s deceased. Horatio, the third guard, finally witnesses the suspicious ghost after not believing the other men and starts to question why the ghost is appearing. Marcellus and Bernardo persuade Horatio to approach the ghost, and without hesitation he does, only for the ghost to disappear after Horatio’s threats. Fortinbras wants revenge for his dad’s death and the loss of their territories, so he’s planning to use his recruited guys to retrieve the land they lost from the enemy King Hamlet. With this knowledge, the three guards believe that it’s imperative to notify Prince Hamlet of his dad’s ghost out of love and respect.
