When a Fort Osage school principal went above your authority and approached a board member to discuss the salary of another staff member, she crossed the line completely. She blind-sided you at a board meeting. Her actions were uncalled for and completely disrespectful. Over the past eight weeks I’ve developed a great deal of respect and admiration for your leadership. With that being said I could only image the conversation you had with that staff member. Firing her would have been justified but you choose not. Your conversation with her gave you assurances that she would never go above your authority again.
