Fort Morgan is a pretty small town located in North Eastern Colorado. It is full of diversity and sits close to a population of 13,000. Within this town is the high school that I am currently attending, Fort Morgan High School. It is a pretty decent sized school; we currently have under a 1,000 students enrolled here. At this school, I have dedicated a vast majority of my time to school related activities. Not only do I try my best to aim for success academically here, I’m involved in quite a bit as well. A 3.5 or higher GPA has always been a goal of mine throughout school and I have always managed to achieve it which helps build confidence in myself. Alongside academics, I participate in Drama/Theater, Ink Club, International Club, and so much more. Throughout all of these activities, I have gained individual skills special to each activity, but major skills used in day to day life. These include time management, responsibility, respect, contribution, and more. My life at school has mostly been built up by me. Neither of my parents have ever really agreed or disagreed with anything that I have done since I wasn’t the trouble maker or main concern of the family. …show more content…
I am now bound and determined to go to college and aim for a bachelor’s or master’s degree. I’m open minded about quite a few different fields that I can go into but I’m mainly looking at Chemical Engineering. My goal is to get accepted into a good college which can set me up for future success. Yet as much as I would like to say that I’m going to college, there is one big problem for me that will determine a big part of the next chapter of my life. Money, sadly, is a big factor for me. If I can’t get enough money gathered to pursue a higher education, college will have to be postponed for me. Yet even if my future goal is delayed, doesn’t mean that I won’t be still pursuing a secondary

During my employment at Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates in Boston I was able to work with a graduate of MCPHS, Kaiming (Kyle) Chiang, MPAS, PA-C. His knowledge and comprehension of his role as well as his eagerness to always do more inspired me. Kyle’s professionalism and confidence led him to be a favorite among several patients; he was able to diagnose with confidence; and was able to communicate with the patients in a way that they would be able to understand. Kyle was always an advocate for MCPHS and as I continued to work with him I was able to see, not only his passion, but the knowledge he gleaned from his time at MCPHS. I knew that MCPHS was not only a school that prepared their students well for the workplace, but also teaches them in a manner where patient education and…

Diversity, life, and the ability to do a cartwheel are some of the aspects of myself that I will contribute to FASP as a future scholar. Let's go in order. Diversity has become widespread where almost no one is a purebred - except me. Both my parents were born in Lebanon and are both full, pure Lebanese which (if we do the math) means I am also. In having parents that are the prideful Lebo's they are each child knows the traditional step line dance – dabke - and speak fluent Arabic.…

Being born to and raised by immigrant parents, I observed a daily desire to give me all that they didn’t have and provide pathways for me to follow my dreams. I gained a respect for hard work as well as an ideology of looking out for those around me. The sacrifices they took to send me to private school and ensure that I do well in life motivates me in my plans for the future. It is their inability to live their lives as they pleased and follow their dreams that inspires me to attend and graduate from an institution in which all those attending strive in their fields of study. Due to their dedication, I want to succeed in life and provide a better life for both myself and my family, allowing them to live the rest of their lives without worry, as well as making a difference in the world around me.…

Listening to both of my grandparents' accounts of German U-Boats off the coast of Virginia Beach, blackouts in Norfolk, Virginia during World War II, and my grandfather's first-hand accounts of serving in the Navy triggered my interest in history. My curiosity about the past inspired me further by looking at family photographs, heirlooms, and letters that explored their backgrounds. When I attempt to explain to people what I am studying in graduate school, family and friends often look confused. When I clarify that I would eventually like to work for a museum, the National Park Service, a library, or public and private archives, the light bulb turns on and they understand. The best way to describe the field of public history is in a concise manner that it is history beyond the traditional classroom setting and is relevant to real world situations.…

The culmination of my parents excellent choice in schools and their motivation for academic excellence has instilled in me the drive to achieve academic excellence whenever possible. My first opportunity for a great education happened at Desert Garden Montessori or DGM. DGM is based on child directed learning where the child is given options which they choose their activity from and then the specialized materials required for that option are then given to the child for them to learn on their own with occasional guidance. With this kind of learning the children at DGM learn independence and responsibility through their education. The fact that my mother moved to the right neighborhood to where just down the street the school was located and she wanted me to have an excellent and diverse education helped me start a passion for learning at young age.…

The cost of attending college in the United States, which can be called the sticker price, has been steadily increasing for the last few years. The cost of tuition has sparked controversy as universities attempt to find a price that pays for tuition, but also is affordable for their students. This has become a problem because it is important to attend college in order to have a successful career, but the initial price of college isn’t possible for some students. As a student who is paying college tuition, I have realized how difficult it can be to pay for one year of college, and can only imagine the cost of multiple degrees. College is expensive considering tuition alone, but adding the cost of books and room, the cost quickly increases.…

One thing that I have not only been taught, but have also learned throughout my life is that being a hard worker can get an individual far in life. Work ethic is very important to me, and I believe if I work hard, it will pay off in the long run. This will be especially important for the upcoming four years of many high school seniors. College is a stressful time for many people, and it can leave you in the dust in the blink of an eye if you don't work hard. Students will be bombarded with vast amounts of homework, student loans, and possibly even a part-time job just to squeak by.…

With a Grade Point Average, or GPA, of 4.0 in my Fall semester, an overall GPA of 3.8, and a SAT score of 1310, I believe my grades are relatively good. Lowell High School is a school known for its academics in San Francisco. Some people even believe that the students at Lowell High School only breath, eat, and sleep math equations or textbooks, but with it being my place of education for 3+ years, I am able to balance both my studies and my social life, contradicting the stereotype placed on my school. Being able to maintain my grades at a high standard while still enjoying my years as a youth, I was never stressed, which led to my higher productivity level at school.
