Forrest Gump a film that seems to be about an eternal love that survives throughout all the unexpected events in life, just as you would expect a romantic film to be about. However the film does not only portrays a devoted love that Forrest feels for Jenny as a hook to the potential audience it also takes you through a historical timeline of the US in some way comical to other viewers as it is narrative by the protagonist which does not seem to be quite sharp, also touching on aspects of race and culture.

The only one that talks to him is Jenny which she has also ask if he is stupid. Jenny that comes from an abusive parent always tries to run away from her past running in to bad men and drugs. That perhaps this is the reason she enjoys the friendship she has with Forrest as her own life is not quite the American ideology. When Forrest joins the army he meets Bubba a dreamer in the shrimping business who on the opposite of Forrest that choose to enroll he was drafted. Then we meet Lieutenant Dan who is a descendant of the war heroes that his mission in life is he dies to die with honor. Then finds himself struggling in life accepting he had survive Vietnam and now living of the government. However his luck changes and he invest well, that he is able to walk again with the help of prosthesis.
