• Forrest Gump is a story of a man, who was born with a mental disability and he couldn 't run. In the beginning of the movie many people doubted Forrest’s abilities because of his disabilities. Despite these negative comments, Forrest overcomes the odds. One day a group of kids was picking on him and a miracle happens. Forrest Gump could run away from them and from this day he begins to live a very wonderful life. Throughout the movie, he overcomes the odds and performs acts of extraordinary actions. In the movie, Forrest Gump became a college football star, fights in the Vietnam War, created a million dollar corporation and accomplish many other acts. The most difficult challenge, Forrest has to face is helping his childhood love. The Forrest Gump experience many historical events that impacted America greatly.
• Forrest Gump gets accepted to the University of Alabama because of his outstanding running skills. With his running skill, Forrest Gump became a college football star. Later in the movie, Forrest Gump witness George Wallace tries to prevent two African students from attending the University of Alabama (the University of Alabama desegregated para 2). George Wallace was the governor of Alabama in 1962 (the University of Alabama desegregated para 2).
