Reflection On The Ministry Of Business

The Ministry of Business was an eye opener of how to integrate God based values and principles into business. We have to start with ourselves. Our personal life has to be to the standard that we can have personal revelation for ourselves and for our business. I am going to focus on 5 points that I thought were important in the book.
First, Steven Hitz teaches us that there is no coincidences. Heavenly Father has a purpose in everything that happens to us. Hitz summarized, “Follow the prompting of your inner voice. You may not know until later why you have been moved toward a particular path, but trust in divine purpose and the answers will eventually come.” This doesn’t mean that it will be easy. Giving back has always been in my thoughts. I was able to do a little bit of giving back monetarily last week but I try to have a giving attitude even though my finances have constrained me for a long time. I think having gratitude for what we have lets us feel like we can give a little of it away.
The last chapter that we read said to Be the Unseen Difference. As I read about him buying 10 copies of the books I just thought about the cycle that he was in. He was able to find someone to mentor him and then he passed on knowledge to others to help them. His choices made it an option for him to be able to afford to buy that many books in the first place and then he could be prepared to help others. I have heard about carrying around a Book of Mormon or two so that you are prepared to give one to someone when the prompting comes.
Steven Hitz and Jim Richie live the life that I have wanted for years. I am thankful for the reminders of things I already knew but forgot and for the new ways to think about it. I am going to ask my children to read it since they are at the beginning of their journeys so they can make the most of their

In the book Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz, there were four principles to live by. This included: 1) be impeccable with your words, 2) don’t take anything personally, 3) don’t make assumptions and 4) always do your best. One of the major lessons that I derived from the book was to speak with integrity, to say only what you mean and not use your words as a tool to spread false rumours or gossips that can hurt others but instead use it to spread the truth and love.…

The main point of this book is that the Gospel is enough for us. In his book his goal was to show us that pursuing fame, wealth, comfort and other worldly values are a complete waste of time. Rather we should be pursuing God, radical godly living, and doing good works. Our goal He backed up his point by Pointing out the stingy/rich of the Bible (Lazarus, Rich Man), Pointing out how people around the world are doing fine without the huge building, lights, and show.…

Beatitudes used in management The Beatitudes refer to the blessings found in Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount. Most people consider the Beatitudes to only pertain to individuals since it covers the characteristics that one should possess making them a better person or leader. However, businesses can possess these characteristics as well depending how the business operates and conducts its business in all aspects. According to Dr. Winston (2002), each of these Beatitudes can be broken down by comprehending the original context that was meant from its Greek origins which means that the Beatitudes are broken down to the following contexts being teachable, caring intensely, being controlled in discipline, seeking what is right, having mercy, showing integrity, and peace being made and maintained.…
