Bullying is a problem faced by millions of children, teens and adults in today’s society all around the world. A bully is define as a person who intimidates another person, and forces the person to do what they want. Bullying can take many direct and indirect forms, including physical violence, name-calling, taunting, teasing, malicious rumor-spreading, and social exclusion. For-example a person who wear glasses maybe called 4 eyes. In recent studies, 28% students from grades 6-12 have reported they’ve been bullied. Statistics show that one out of four kids are bullied almost every day.

The first is called the theory of differential associations. When a person is expose to bullying, they’ll try it themselves. Another theory is social control. People will bully other people, just to bond with their friends. Finally there’s the primary socialization theory which includes the relationships between family, peer and school influences. If the child has a weak family relationship then there is an increase risk they’ll engage in deviant behavior. If the child has friends who are a bad influence, then they’ll partake in this behavior. It may seem cool to do in schools, so children will partake in it. In some cases, the bully may have their own personal backgrounds that make them be mean to others. With the increased usage of technology there is now a new form of bullying called cyber bullying. Cyber bullying is when a person uses electronic communications to intimidate or threaten a person. For-example if a person has an embarrassing picture of you saved on their phone. One day you make that person extremely mad, and they upload it on a social media site for the entire world to see. Cyber bullying is an inflictor of emotional scars, invader of privacy and has the potential to inflict life threatening humiliation. It is very difficult to put a stop to a crime of this nature. Cyber bullying occurs people because people don’t have to deal with the physical aspect of ordinary bullying.
I believe the research on bullying is very credible. The information was collected through various studies by intelligence people. For-example Roxanne, is a medical doctor. Furthermore, the statistics on bullying were gathering by several elementary and middle schools. Also, research has completed by prestige universities.
There is a general consensus about bullying, and that it needs to stop. Bullying is happening everywhere, from the workplace to schools. You may not see it, you may not know it is there, but it is happening and it causes unimaginable pain to the victims and there
