Sept. 14, 2016 Formative Experience That Changed Me Everyone living on this planet goes through many experience in their lives. Every experience has an effect on a person in some ways. The outcome of the experience can be good, bad or combination of both. Many features of my life have impacted my nature. One experience that changed me is reading the bible and affects my inner self. I learned how to forgive one another, helping the poor people, and obeying elders’ commands. My formative experience which is reading the bible has taught me how to forgive one another. According to dictionary.com forgiveness “is the intentional and voluntary process by which a victim undergoes a change in feelings and attitude regarding an offense, lets go of negative emotions such as vengefulness, with an increased ability to wish the offender well.” At first, I did not know how to forgive someone if he or she offended me. This was my main problem of surrounding with friends. I used to pay back all my friends when no matter what they

According to dictionary.com, “obeying is to comply with the command, direction, or request of a person or a law.” There are a lot of the bible quotes I learned about obedient, but the one that interest me is the quote from Exodus chapter twenty verses twelve which said, “Honor your father and your mother that your days may be long in the land that the LORD your God is giving you.” This quotes taught me that if I want to live long I have to obey my elders’ commands. I found this quote amazing when I came across it in the bible because I did not know that obeying has a reward of living long. For me to live long, I have been putting obedient in practice by not refusing what I am commanded of doing. To live long, you have to obey your elders especially your parents’
