Formative Assessment Strategy

Decent Essays
This formative assessment strategy is simple, but the students love it and it is effective. The students have to draw the number correctly on the board, and then they show their finished project to the teacher. The teacher can check to see if the students understand how to form the letter or number and if they do not, the teacher can have them erase and try again. The teacher had them practice writing the numbers on their own on the chalkboard before they showed their finished project. This allowed the students to get extra practice and showing their work to the teacher helped to provide added motivation.

He speaks about the importance of Formative Assessment, discusses how teachers might actually be spending too much time on their Summative Assessment instead of the Formative Assessment. Formative Assessment should be the primary resource teachers use to guide their classes. Many grade school teachers in Florida are worried about how well their students do on Criterion Reference Test.…

The best course of action for this appointment is to get signed consent to obtain the patient's medical records from the other providers where she used to live. Obtaining the records will help the current provider have an overall picture of what all has already been diagnosed for the patient and the treatments that she has received in the past. The next step would be to complete as thorough as a history as possible to gain as much information on the patient and her history since birth. The history should also include the patient's social, gross motor, fine motor, and language development. After a verbal history is obtained, then the provider will need to perform a complete physical exam on the patient.…
