These artists collaborated and challenged their viewers to recognized nature. Everything in the world deserves to be recognized. Nature is one of the amazing elements God created and put on our planet, in this generation its hard to recognize nature when everything surrounding us has been replaced or distorted, now the world looks to be man made. In this collaboration piece Johanna Paas and Mariah Doren work together and combine their talents into a piece of art that stands out to viewers. They want to evoke the viewers thought-provoking response and encourage them to open their minds and recognize the familiar yet abstract imagery of nature.
The artists used colors, shapes, and the illusion of texture that are representational to both the artists artistic ways of indicating their alluring form of nature. Many kinds lines are used to create a sense of texture also shading, in this case layering created the pattern and in the focal point stippling created an illusion. A layering technique was used letting the colors peek around each other and create an abstract still life. The piece of art is made up of layers being added and erased, creating history to get a result of both of the artists final product, which both show their similar artistic mind set. Since the artwork was on the larger side; roughly three by two feet. The artists were letting the viewers use their corpus callosum to make their own artistic reflections between the familiar and the abstract. The board used to mount the artwork puts the piece back into the thin off white frame which creates the viewers mind to enter the artwork with their eyes and minds to almost manipulate the viewers to seek the unknown truth of the art
