Forever 21 Research Paper

I was once a loyal customer of Forever 21, but because of the extremely terrible shopping experience in King of Prussia Mall in Philly. I swore that I would never walk into Forever 21 again in my life.

When I was about to walked out of the fitting room area in Forever 21 located in King of Prussia Mall in Philly at around 1-2 pm., June 5th, an African American female clerk (about 5.8 ~6 ft tall )blocked my way and asked me to hang the clothes up. I was shocked and felt discriminated because she did not ask other customers with western appearances to do so and I was the only foreign customer on spot.

I was so angry since it was supposed to be her job and she spoke to me in a very rude and commanding tone. When I tried to disregard her unreasonable

The recent housing developments in Hollister illustrates how an individual’s race and gender can allow them to gain an unfair advantage or privilege over others. Only individuals with access to a significant amount of wealth would be able to purchase these houses due to the incredibly high prices. More often than not, these individuals would be white males. As a result of their skin color and sex, they are able to have high skilled jobs and receive a higher paycheck than their colleagues. A recent article by CNN substantiates this assertion by revealing that African Americans and Hispanics are experiencing lower wages, household wealth, home ownership and higher unemployment in comparison to white Americans.…

Swag is a term heard far too often. I hear “Swag” on a daily basis, and that is because it is simply everywhere: in music, in day-to-day life, and even in sports. Rappers, athletes, and regular people alike use swag as a way of credibility. I, on the other hand, think the expression swag needs to come to an immediate end, and the reason for that is that there is an actual word that has the exact same connotation. That word is swagger.…

A Sign That Changed Perspectives Wing’s Chips” is a short story by Mavis Gallant with a very meaningful message. The theme I felt the short story carried was that even though many people have different views on what is right or wrong, they want to be respected and accepted for who they are. “Wing’s Chips” focus is on three separate cultures, who in the end learned to respect each other. I feel as though many people could relate to this story if they have been racially discriminated against. The story is based on young girl and her father from England who go to spend a summer in a rural French-Canadian Quebec town.…

This year I have wanted to give myself time to consider my employment options after graduation and when I sat down to write this reflective essay a constant theme reappeared; my own lack of confidence in my abilities and how this prevents me from achieving my potential. This lack of confidence was very obvious in the two situations I will focus on in this essay, the ‘Brand Me’ presentation and my search for a placement. ‘Tell me about yourself?’ This is such a hard question for me to answer, as I cannot find something that I have done which is good enough to define who I am. Not surprisingly this was reflected in the first ‘Brand Me’ presentation , as it was a 3-minute unprepared presentation identifying myself as a brand because I did not…

Generally speaking, the service of UNIQLO was lower than my expectation. In terms of shop assistants, who can also be called service providers, they have no working enthusiasm. They are not willing to help customers, which means they are pressed for the responsiveness. Two things can be invoked as evidence. The first one, I passed by about 12 shop assistants, but only three of them greeted, two of them asked whether I need any help.…
