Forest Service Benefits

The United States Forest Service was created at the turn of the twentieth century to help ensure the forest and lands of the US were taken care of. This was the first time leaders were chosen because of their knowledge of nature instead of some bureaucracy non sense. The Forest Service was staffed with university educated foresters chosen because of their expertise of the forest. Before the US Forest Service was formed politicians managed the land that belonged to the government and this was the first time something was not managed by politicians. I think that the US Forest Service still remains a positive organization for America. There are men and women who dedicate their lives and safety to protect our forests. The United States is covered in around 33% of forest and America needs someone to protect it. If we did not have the convenience of the US Forest Service our forest would be destroyed by greedy businesses that do not care about the environment. The service that the forest service provides is valuable to everyone that calls America home. There are many forest fires every year that destroy acres of land that will take years to replenish. It is reliable service and they serve the public and do the best with the resources they have. They should go back to the beginning and let the people that know about the forest take care of it and leave all of the corrupt greedy bureaucrats out of the picture. This is why the service was started to save the forest and the environment and keep the political parties out of it. This is the reason so many good services go bad and end up in
