My first thought to having to go to Sweeney Todd was that it would be very serious and meaningful. I heard rumors that it would be good, but knowing that it would be 3 hours long, turned me off. The play itself was not as big of an issue as the time it took for it to end. At the beginning, the high pitch screech was a complete shock and scared a lot of people which was funny. The fact that the play turned out to be a musical was interesting. The singing, which repeated throughout the play, foreshadowed the vicious murders which was cool. I liked how it did not come out right away with murders, but however with comic relief which did not however continue until the end. But the middle part was pretty funny and the singing was not my favorite
