Statement of Interest
A Law Enforcement Organization is primarily my interest conducting a forensic psychology research assignment. I would like to research the effects of community oriented policing and how the community quality of life could improve. Through researching reported crimes, statics, process of stereotyping, potential offenders with the common behaviors associated with the local social norms and correlating them with implemented specific local surveys directly related to improve the relationships between Law Enforcement and the community in which they protect. When I decided that Law Enforcement was going to be my career choice. I realized that my education in Social Sciences and previous experience with Corrections had prepared me to be a very proactive Police Officer. Being able to understand the societal norms in which you police and the population you protect are familiar with has helped me substantially in contributing to my organization. When I finish this program, I anticipate a greater ability in researching and identifying behaviors trends as it relates to assisting the Justice system. I have worked as a Correctional Officer, a Correctional Treatment Team Counselor, Police Officer. I have experience in areas; such as operations for Corrections and Law Enforcement, Victim Witness Liaison Parole and Clemency while working in Corrections. I have been trained as a Hostage Negotiator, and have worked as the Lead Correctional Officer for the team. I have been a member of a Correction Emergency Response
