Our policies go in line with agencies such as The American Society of Crime Laboratory Directors Laboratory Accreditation Board (ASCLD) (Ascld-laborg, 2015), and the American Board of Criminalistics (ABC) (Greg, 2009). These boards have helped increase the standards of accreditation by using profiling tests, assessment of quality of training, ongoing education, improve competence, and more. The ABC attempts to, “measure professional levels of knowledge, skill, and abilities”. There will also be tests that will be given to access the skills of the applicant in forensics. When the applicant passes the test there will also be a background investigation started. It is important that our laboratory has trustworthy and honest employees. Employees must remain honest with their work, this includes marking the right time and dates on evidence and the correct measurements. Efficiency is upheld by the supervisors prioritizing the needs of the lab and the resources given to all subjects. Quality is insured by supervisors verifying the quality of the work done on a weekly basis.
