Before running the first regression, a line chart was created to examine the trend of Ford’s quarterly automotive domestic revenues since 1993. The chart shows both natural rises over time and within the year (April, December) and drops within the year (January, August) and the significant drop during the Great Recession, where although Ford was not in need of capital, still took advantage of the industry bailout. Although Ford has seen a post-recession bounce back, they have not yet reached pre-recession revenue levels. Additionally, a trend line was added to forecast eight quarters out.
