Traditionally, automobile industrial sector is one of the biggest in the present competitive business and industrial environments. Ford Motor Company is an international automobile company that is into manufacturing and distribution of various vehicles and auto spare parts. Therefore, Ford includes latest trends, which are environmentally friendly such as more sustainable materials, like as recycled, renewable, and lightweight materials, are being utilized for the manufacturing process. It was the company strategy since its initial operation by Henry Ford himself as he developed the first car that incorporated soybean fiber as a building material. It had two advantages; cost of production reduced and the company could incorporate more ecofriendly aspects in the manufacturing process that many companies ought to practice. (Luis, 2003). As I cognize, a strategic restructuring in accordance with the latest market aspects and consumer trends will definitely support the company for achieving its organizational objectives.
Competitive advantage which means “a condition or circumstance that puts a company in a favorable or superior business position” (Thomas, 2008, pp.34). Automobile industry is a fast growing industry and it is not very easy to achieve competitive advantage in the current business environment. (Sharma, 2000).
