Corporate hierarchy has been a tradition is Ford´s since the beginning. An example is their Executive Vice President reports to the CEO Mark Fields. Then again the middle managers report to these executives VPs. This is typical traditional business management approach, which helps aim for top-down control. Regional geographic divisions play a large role in Ford´s organizational structure. Global companies usually divide their operations into several regions per continent (Panmore Institution). Ford on the other hand has structured theirs in three regional that covers the market around the world. Their main regional geographic divisions are: (a) The Americas, (b) Europe, Middle East and Africa, (c) Asia Pacific. There is an executive VP head in each division. Global Functional Groups each represent a specific business function in Ford´s organizational structure. A vice president heads each of these groups. There are 11 main functional groups:

It is primarily sold in North America and the Middle East. Lincoln was introduced to the Chinese market in 2014. Henry M. Leland founded the company in 1917, and it has been a subsidiary of Ford since 1922. Lincoln offers 6 different models, mostly big luxurious SUVS and limousines.
There are 3,286 Ford dealerships in the U.S. (Automotive News), the dealerships are shown in figure 4.
Globally Ford has over 7,500 dealerships globally. The company is now taking their dealership-training program worldwide. This is mainly to improve customer service and build loyalty to the customer. The program is known as “Consumer Experience Movement,” and it as been running in the U.S. since late 2010 (Automotive News). The results from the dealership that has been a part of this program, their results have been positive. USA TODAY made a list of the most sold cars in America in 2014. There are 5 Ford models on the top 20 list. For the 33rd year Ford´s F-series took the first place, outselling other cars and trucks. It sold nearly 754,000 F-series in 2014.
