Ford Motor Company is one of America’s best selling automobile companies. Ford is the second largest U.S. based automobile manufacturers, and the fourth largest in the world. Originating June 16 1903, its creator Henry Ford, saw the need to go against the odds of high priced vehicles and cater to a more middle-classed popularity. The company has become one of the largest family-controlled businesses in the world with Henry Ford’s great grandson currently being the Executive Chairman for Ford Motors. It has offered many contributions to modern day automobiles that many customers rely heavily on for car safety. The company is one of the larger successors of investors with outside countries. Even with all the financial struggles, Ford Motors has managed to redeem itself through it all. For this reason, the company could take advantage of the need for public transportation by manufacturing utility vehicles, buses, or oil tankers for Middle-Eastern countries. For the countries who may need these types of vehicles could benefit from this line of products. This expansion is a possible way that Ford Motors could expand their sales in at least the six other countries in which their businesses are located. Although the cost of raw materials are increasing, Ford could find multiple suppliers rather than relying on one. The company should also look into setting up its own material unit line to cut down on costs. The production of Lincoln, Ford’s luxury line, should be discontinued and a more primary focus should be set toward establishing cheaper motor vehicles. Since the market share is higher with the cheaper vehicles, the company will profit better off these products rather than gambling with the luxury line whose market continues to spiral downhill as of
