This program will be created for the sole purpose of increasing productivity with the improvement of worker performance. This program would be implemented at all levels in Ford Motors Company to ensure that all employees are given the opportunity to get involved. Leaders will need to support this program from the very inception; the leaders backing will make the programs success more realistic and attainable. Don’t begin a mentoring program, whether manually administrated or e-enabled, until you have not only senior executive support from the CEO or COO and a number of senior business executives, but also a commitment from senior leadership to participate and encourage their managers to mentor (Schooley, 2010). The briefing to the leaders should focus on how the company would benefit from mentorship, using projected spike in the profits as a selling point. An increase in sells would also be a major talking point, also mentioning how the product would also improve in quality. The leader is the instrumental link to the organizational mission and goals and frontline teamwork (DuBois, Hanlon, Nyatuga & Kerr, 2015). The leadership would understand that establishing a mentorship program at Ford Motors would be a win-win situation.
