("Coercion Law & Legal Definition") A stakeholder is any person who is affected by a case. This can include the plaintiff’s family as well as the defendant and his/her family. Although many Forced Marriages are controlled by family members this does not exclude other members of the Plaintiff’s family such as younger siblings and possible mothers or fathers that aren’t involved with the forcing of the Marriage. Stakeholders in the forced marriage cases are often subjected to possible harm as a result of a failed marriage. As a consequence of this offence the Government should implement concealing for victims and their families as these issues could be very traumatic for all parties involved. Possible areas that should be addressed in this particular issue would be the protection of the victims or Forced Marriage. Whether it is protection for their family or community or whether its protection from an abusive partner. Our government needs to provide further education on the issue of Forced Marriage for young people whether this is happening in schools or community sentences. The Government also needs to supply services for the public to learn more about Forced Marriage where it is happening, that it can happen to anyone and how to help. This would also link with designing and delivering education programs that would help target all affected communities. This program could further explain the situations as well as explain the intention of the new legislations in place as well as the harm associated with forced marriage and forced child marriage. A final recommendation would be an amendment to the current Commonwealth Criminal Code Act 1995. This amendment would include harsher sentencing for perpetrators and a further sentence to those who not only are perpetrators of forced marriage but are also perpetrators of domestic violence. For this recommendation to come into effect there would need to be an amendment to the current Commonwealth Criminal Code Act 1995 Section 210.7B Forced marriage offences. Through this amendment to this legislation these recommendations would help to significantly improve the number of know Forced Marriage
