Thesis statement Forced labor is the modern day equivalent of slavery and must be recognized as such by the international community if this transnational crime is to be weeded out. Society always believed that slavery ended in the past but, what most people fall to recognize is that slavery existed to this day. In the twenty first century, slavery is transformed itself to in to a modern phenomenon known as faced labor. Many people for poverty stricken parts of the world are trafficked across international borders to work as labors. Ancient hunters and gatherers did not have use for slavery. Owning a human being was expensive because they were required to feed their slaves. For this reason, Primitive farmers mainly relied on the use of their own labor to produce the necessary products.
A. As soon as people started forming a complex civilization with big towns and cities slave labor was required.
B. Once people assembled in large cities, a large arable farms will be left on the country side. The farmers cannot effectively cultivate a large plot of land for this reason, they used slave labor.
C. Using slave labor produced a surplus of food and allowed people to pursue a wide range of skills.
D. When people recognized the immense benefits of slave labor they waged war to enslave other nations.
E. War was used as major source of slavery however; criminals and impoverished children could also be sold in to slavery.
