The origin of the story is in Egypt and ultimately comes back to Egypt. The Israelites are in forced labor by the Pharaoh, which is a make nothing money situation. The people are fruitful and luscious when it comes to having babies. The Israelites are not treated good or with respect. The man in charge only cared about making the same amount with less materials. The Pharaoh is expecting too much of the people with this hardening heart.

Moses needs to go to Mt. Horeb to get direction from God to know how to free to slaves. He is to bring them to a country rich with milk and honey.
