This information could be used to increase the amount communty support the department gives to those areas. If the areas has large amount of robberies community police officers can start asking and gaining trust of residents and find the people who are involved, or if its a issue involving teenagers and drug abuse they might need to do an educational campaign to try and curb the use of drugs.
