Jim Corbin lived with his wife and eighteen year old son, Jim Corbin, Jr., in the state of Colorado. One Wednesday evening as they were returning home from church services there was a terrible automobile accident. The father and mother were both killed. Jim Jr. was devastated. Having no relatives with whom he was acquainted, he quite alone in a huge, uncaring world. Then he remembered hearing his father talk about his High School and college classmate, Andrew Carter, who lived somewhere in Texas. After the funeral, Jim Jr. boarded a bus bound for Dallas and upon his arrival he learned the location of Mr. Carter’s business. At Mr. Carter’s office, Jim Jr. asked the secretary if he could see Mr. Carter. She said, “Please have a seat.” and I’ll check”. She went into Mr. Carter’s office and told him, “There is a Jim Corbin, Jr. outside, he doesn’t have an appointment, but he wants to see you”.
