There are several aspects that go into making a great football team, such as coaching, player talent, money, and location, the list could go on forever. There are great legendary teams that we can look back on for examples in the area. If we look at those prolific teams, and the leadership of the teams, we can discover just what it takes. According to former United States President Dwight Eisenhower “The supreme quality for leadership is unquestionably integrity. Without it, no real success is possible, no matter whether it is on a section gang, a football field, in the army, or in an office.” As a team, having the integrity to stand up to adversity, and face it is very important. Championship teams are in the spotlight, and everyone will try to pick out the team’s problems. But if the team has the integrity, they most likely did the right thing in the first place, so the problems would be unfounded. Without strong leadership, a team will lack direction, and fail to meet goals. Having a good scouting program to build a adaptable team. The team has an intense sense of integrity to do the right thing, and be accountable for their actions. And always being disciplined, on and off the football field. There have been great football teams over the years, and I am confident these suggestions were followed by those teams.
