I woke up that day energized and ready to go right at 7 o 'clock. My excitement was beyond belief.That day I was truly happy. The only problem was I still had to go to class. That saddened me a small bit, but needless to say, I was still going to go about my day excited. After I finished my two-and-a-half hour biology lab, I was ready for a nice little nap. I realized that sleep and a lot of water and Gatorade were going to be crucial for my success. Upon waking up, I missed multiple messages from my teammates to meet in the locker room. I knew something was up, so I had to get out of bed and run quickly to the locker room. In the locker room, I noticed that everyone had their uniforms already in there. We all came in pretty quiet and focused ready for our game that day. As coaches strolled into the room, we all locked in waiting for them to say something. Our head coach motivated us and spoke to us mentioning respect. He made remarks about our low rank in the conference and the lack of respect teams had for us as a team and a brotherhood. The words I won 't forget that coach Ross said were this, “if people aren 't giving you respect you have to go out and take it.” Loud roars and cheers from my teammates filled the room. I literally could not hear myself think for a moment. After that, we all hurried out of the tier room. It was time to get ready for our game. Back in the locker room, I remember just sitting and thinking about what was going to happen. I was so nervous about the game it drove me crazy. I had the worst butterflies of my life. I suppose the sense of not knowing or experiencing anything like that level before scared me a little. My fear did not overwhelm me. I quickly started to preparing for the game. First of all, I always had to make sure my ankles were taped. It was very vital in protecting yourself from ankle injuries. Since I 'm a bigger guy,I really did need to get my ankles taped. After they sprayed and taped my ankles, I began to get dressed. For the game, I made sure I had everything I wanted and needed. My gear consisted of gold cleats, black gloves, black
