Knowing now that anything is possible I probably should have put more effort into every practice I had. For me this year will be different. I have already spent more time training. I played over the summer with some of the best teams in the area. Making myself better was the goal of the summer. When school started I knew going to open gyms could be the game changer. I did not miss a thing. I want to make sure that I am in the best shape and practice my shots so I am able to do that same thing for my team this season. Every drill now will

I ran down to the baseline and threw the ball in bounds as the guards raced down the floor to try and get the ball inside to our post player. As the guards crossed half court they met a wall of defense and the clock was ticking down. With defense close the guard threw me the ball and with less than a second left and I took the shot from the volleyball line. After I shot the ball I closed my eyes because I was afraid to know what was going to happen. It was at that very moment I heard the crowd erupt and my team swarm around me screaming. I had expected there to be an empty court but instead, I would play with a team from a local school. At first, I thought that I would do terrible, but to my surprise, my hard work with the ball paid off. When we got back home to Atlanta, I continued to practice and for the first time, I beat my friend at on-on-one on Labor Day weekend. Now, I still have one goal remaining.…

During my high school years of football, our team had to learn how to deal with adversity. In my four years of playing football at Forest City I played for six different football coaches. While playing under one of the many I had, he took us to the move When the Game Stands Tall. This movie is about one of the most storied programs in high school sports throughout the entire United States.…

Like all children all I ever wanted was to be big and do big people things. I engaged in a few family members that I would look up to and try everything they did. I use to pretend to go grocery shopping and being a parent at times. At the age of eight, I had worn the worst pain ever and that was watching my five, year old brother getting hit by a car while trying to cross the street riding a bicycle that had a loose chain. I remember him trying to get up and get to me, but a few adults that had witnessed the accident had told him to lay down.…
