Football Field Research Paper

When people think of home, they might think of a town, or a house. They might even think of a feeling or a memory. Home is the thing where everything feels perfect. For me, this perfect feeling is on one hundred yards of lined grass. A football field is where everything is at peace for me. It’s not just the football field, it’s the actual game of football. The fans, the team and even the goal posts are factors that make football such a beautiful game. My home can be described as the greatest show on turf. When the lights come on, nothing else matters. My home may not be a house, but it can be found anywhere that has the dimensions of a football field. As long as this field has lines that are five yards apart and two goal posts, it does not matter where I play or the field conditions. The actual football field isn’t the only thing that makes my home unique. It’s the things that surround the outer shell of the field. The stands, concession stand smoke, and the National Anthem gives my home that perfect atmosphere. Now that the stage is set, it’s time for kickoff. It starts with our fans. Our fans have such an impact on the game that every little thing can change the atmosphere. With our fans cheering as loud as possible, that gives me more comfort of the feeling of home. Then there’s the other referees. The referees are the ones that make the feeling of being safe at home go away at times. They make calls that are just horrendous. These are the calls that make me lose focus and the appearance of home starts to fade away.
