Football Field Experience Analysis

As a kid i had a hard time listening to authority especially on the football field. I was always the tallest kid on my team growing up which means i was a lot easier to tackle. My coaches would always try and teach me a better way to run with the ball and techniques i could use to break tackles. I never wanted to listen to them, i thought that i did not need any help and i was playing the right way. Every game i got the same results and I played the same way, my skills never extended which means i didn't get any better. I had a decent 7th grade football season that year but i wanted to be a phenomenal player my 8th grade season so i listened and took my coaches advice. Since i was a taller player my coach recommended me to tuck my shoulder and get low as someone tried to tackle me so that's what i did. …show more content…

On January 19, 2002, Adam Vinatieri, New England Patriots kicker, went out on the field for a field goal attempt that no fan would have considered possible for him to make. It was a windy, and snowy playoff game, and the Patriots were down by 3 points to the Oakland Raiders with 27 seconds left in the game. The fans were very nervous, wondering how the weather conditions would affect Vinatieri. Perhaps they worried about the distance, wishing that the offence would have gotten further down the field, giving Vinatieri a shorter kick. But, would getting a shorter kick really have a made a big difference?…

There are many in the grassroots community that feel the NFL has not created a public affairs campaign concerning the safety of playing football at all levels. Increased player safety has been a priority of the evolution of the game and the league is proud to say that the game is safer and more exciting than ever. The NFL is actively attempting to protect football participants by funding the Heads Up Football Program, enforcing safety - related rule changes at the professional level, implementing a new concussion protocol, and establishing the Player Care Foundation, that is dedicated to helping retired NFL players. The position I played in football was wide receiver. The job description for the offensive position wide receiver, is to either run and catch the ball or to block a defender when you don't have the ball in your hand. During my freshman year in college I had a difficulty time blocking defenders. As a result my wide receiver coach would always critique my blocking habits. Instead of getting angry and frustrated with my coach I asked my coach what could I do to help improve my blocking skills.…

I emailed an old coach of mine and we started doing hitting sessions for three days a week during the summer. When I got back to school I had a chip on my shoulder from last year and I was going to show everyone why I was so highly touted coming into the 9th grade. I realized what my coach had done for me also. He was looking out for me as a person more than a player. The lazy person cannot succeed in life it just doesn't work that way.…

The majority of my lacrosse career depended upon my natural talent. With little work, I could coast and still outclass the majority of my teammates. That is, I could until I was pushed onto varsity as a sophomore. Instead of getting the steady playing time I expected, I was only permitted to enter the game when things got out out hand. Frustrated, I asked my father what I could do to earn a reliable spot on the field, and he told me that if I augmented talent with practice and outworked the rest of my teammates, there would be no reason for Coach to keep me off the field.…

When life becomes too much or I just want to have fun and relax my number one place to go is the ball fields. The field is where I go, because it is where my heart belongs. The ball field’s best feature is its green inner diamond shape, with grainy, brown dirt surrounding it, and the always freshly cut, stripped green grass making up the outfield. You’ll be able to smell the fresh cut grass and the cool breeze constantly flowing by to keep you calm and relaxed while you’re playing.…
