Football and League of Legends competitions are more alike than most people would assume they are. We all can relate to one team that we root for like within the Nationalthe National Football League: Atlanta Falcons, New England Patriots, and Dallas Cowboys. But Although with competitive gaming they tend to be team names that are made up by the creators of the team an example would be the European team called Unicorns of love. Companies can buy teams and use the team to promote their product like the Korean teams, SK Telecom T1 and Samsung Galaxy.
As we are very familiar with the NFL as the professional league for football. Likewise, the NFL, League of Legends also haves their own types of leagues which are: the League of Legends Championship Series for North America and Europe, the Legends Pro League, and League of Legends Champions Korea. Both of theBoth sports leagues have a champion team for each of their respective leagues. They tend to have some type of personnel for any type of problem they may face. With League of Legends, outside of Korea, the infrastructure isn’t as advancedlagging behind,, but is starting to become more developed every year as more tiers are being added to the infrastructure and teams and picking up more personnel.
My final point is, how the sports are watched. NFL has multiple stadiums where the teams play at and travel othertravel other teamsteam’s stadiums. League of Legends is usually played in studios, but larger tournaments are played atplayed at special venues. In rare occasionoccasion, such as 2014 world championship finals, they played in the Seoul World Cup Stadium, where they filled 45,000 seats. The viewership rivaled with other sport finals and actually beatbeat the viewership of the NBA that year
