An urgent problem facing the United State is food related, people either get unequal amounts of it or too much of it. Americans suffer from nutrition related problems, now the first thing you picture is obesity but frankly a bad diet can effect a by definition someone of regular weight. Americans face food related issues such as obesity, osteoporosis, cancer, and diabetes etc. We have become the laughing stock of other countries, we are seen to be obese and our cereal brands are known for the absurd sugar content they contain.
Issues that weren’t a problem such as cancer which is increasingly becoming a diet related issue, cancer cell thrive due to sugar. Fast food companies and large corporations are increasingly taking hold of farmland and water resources marketing as their own products with their hypnotic and commercials created to target chosen groups of mass consumers. As a result agricultural land for healthy food is either being stripped and or the crop is being genetically modified to become more profitable to keep up with fast food brands. How do you eat healthy when eating healthy is made to be the harder choice, especially when you haven’t been taught much about nutrition.

I would have added onto a nutrition label if a product has empty calories, high sugar content, and whether it’s been designed to taste irresistible (binge eat warning.) I would add constraints to the land food corporations own because farmers are forced to pay for rented land somewhat like share croppers which is why their local products cost so much more. I would also mandate a nutrition program provided by the health care which can profitable since it can stop preventable diseases such as heart disease or type 2 diabetes. I don’t want Americans to become statistics of a bad diet, in general I don’t want my younger brother to be influenced by such
