It seems society has always been stable in America. Today it has gotten carried away and no one really seems to care. Kids are killing themselves, obesity is at its highest, people are phone addicted, and the list keeps going on. Not many people are speaking out against it and less people are acting to change things. Society has many problems and we need solutions before it is too late.
There are so many things happening right now that we don’t even know some of the major things. People ignore some important things and only focus on the good. Food insecurity exists in every county in America. In 2011 households with children reported a significantly higher food insecurity rate than households without children in them. It was 20.6% to 12.2%. Over twenty million children receive free or reduced price lunch each school day, and less than half of them get breakfast. Only about ten percent of them have access to summer meal programs. A disturbing fact is that one hundred sixty five billion dollars worth of food is thrown out each year in America alone. This is enough to feed about twenty five million people. That means about forty percent of food is thrown out each year in America. Bullying is less frequent now than twenty years ago. This is because they can get in major trouble in today 's time. Before someone could beat up someone and no one would tell and they got on with their lives. Now somebody can call someone a name online and be thrown in jail for it. This has its advantages and disadvantages. A good kid can do one thing wrong and get in major trouble for it, instead of a simple warning. Being respectful used to be normal for everyone to teachers. If they weren 't they get whipped or punished. Now in almost every class there are kids who disrespect the teacher every day. A problem with teachers is that some of them yell a lot, or make students feel dumb. That makes learning harder because students will fear asking questions
