Not everyone is able to purchase food. The government has created SNAP to help those who aren’t able to but foods. Supplying those who are eligible they get about $194 per month to purchase food. This is a decent gesture that the government has created and it helps people, but not enough. With that amount you won’t be able to buy healthy foods and if u do it will only be for the first couple of days and they rest of the month it would have to be junk. The question is it really the government that is in charge of what we eat and how much of it? Or is it the Major companies? They have already made their way into political power. What’s next? These big companies are very scary, not many people know enough information about what is happening. So far I’ve learned a great deal in this class. I believe everyone should have access to this information. The government has a small amount of influence on what we eat. They aren’t able to directly tell us what we can and can’t eat.
