The greatest success I had with this project was having better evaluations of the food that I eat throughout the day. From evaluating what I eat throughout the day, I have been able to amount figure out the appropriate amount of each macro nutrient I need. For example, if there is a moment that my blood sugar feels lower, I know that I need to consume a food source high in protein. This will balance my blood sugar level, as well as give my muscles the ability to recover and keep my metabolism running appropriately. When my body is lacking protein, my blood sugar gets low and my metabolism slows down, causing my body to store fat and run on less energy. In turn, I have less energy and feel light-headed. This is because my body is taking in more than it is prepared for and actually has to use more energy, initially, in order to hold the food. I have realized that the theory of Health Behavior depends on the mindset of an individual and their passion towards making a change. A health behavior change can also range from small changes, such as selecting optimal health options, to large changes, such as exercising daily and having a planned out diet. This project has also encouraged me to take a greater importance in my physical activity. Before my project, I would work out when time allowed, but now I ensure I exercise at least three times a week. From this project, I must remember to maintain my mindset and remain determined to make a change for optimal

By actively moderating, recording, and learning about what I have been eating I can now clearly understand that my parents were right to encourage healthy eating in my home. My parent, specifically my mother, was always the one who cooked and influenced my healthy eating at a young age. When looking at my food logs for this…
