If you knew that a cookie from Albertson’s bakery could give you Alzheimer’s would you eat it? Well, the food industry is getting away with just that! In order to save millions of dollars, they carry an unfortunate secret by cutting corners and causing people to develop health concerns and incurable illnesses worldwide, especially in America. Food today is closer to a science experiment orchestrated in a lab rather than produced by a local farmer. The food industry produces processed foods with additives, preservatives and other chemicals in order to save money at the expense of American’s health.
Surely, large food corporations understand the consequences of their actions, but America seems to be the last to fathom the detrimental health risks involved. The United States continues the use of chemicals in food while other countries consequently are banning items like Butylated Hydroxyanisole (BHA) and Butylated Hydroxytoluene (BHT). BHA and BHT are found in potato chips and cereal, cause cancer and are still approved by The Food and Drug Association (FDA). The rise of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is not a surprising notion after you learn the facts about what our children are eating and how it affects their overall health.
