Growing up in poverty, desserts were not served for breakfast, lunch, or supper. Cakes and big packs of sodas were only eaten on special occasions only. However, cookies, other sweet drinks as well as candies are something that my mom always tried to buy. My mom would cook one or two types of food and set up the table. Anyone can help themselves with as many servings as they want. Sometimes, she would even tell us to get more servings if we did not get enough food and would constantly ask if we have eaten or not. Eating lettuce and other vegetables together with ranch is not something that I was born eating. I have never try salad until after a few years that I came to America. Milk was also something that I never like, I did try to drink milk with my little sister once because she would not drink milk in a cup. The only time she would drink milk in a cup is when someone does drink milk in a cup with her, and me being the good older sister, I try to drink it. However, throughout the whole time, I want to spit the milk out, but always keep a straight face and smiled at her because she was doing well. I do know that drinking milk will help me later in life and I can get more calcium, but I was never a big fan of milk. I do try to eat yogurt more since I never like
