It is very important to follow directions the first time they are given because you won't get too far without it. You need to follow directions when doing everything weather it's at your job, at school, or at home. Following directions also refers to your comprehension skills, It shows how well you pick up on things. For example, you're at work and your boss gives you a set of directions if you don’t pick up on the directions or choose not to you probably won't have that job for too much longer. In school your teacher tells you to be quiet, you should follow the directions the first time they are given because they are doing it for you own good. Like my father always told me " I wouldn’t tell you to cross the road if it wasn’t for your own good". Which means it is important to listen to your teachers because they are only doing what's right for you.

At home let's say you got a brand new tv stand if you can't the follow

I wouldn’t blame it all on that, though. When teachers do try to be nice and give us free days we usually have to end up doing work because of the simple fact we can't follow directions. Sometimes we can't even get through a lesson because of the fact that people don’t follow directions. Half of our teachers spend most of our class periods just trying to get us quiet.

Following directions is a skill that all my 8th-grade peers need to work on. Following directions in class is so important because they allow the class to run smoothly so that everyone can learn and benefit from what the teacher has to offer. When people do not follow directions the first time they are given, it causes chaos, frustration, and confusion in any type of environment. To sum up these 5 paragraphs it is very important to follow directions the first time they are given, it just makes life way

Remove the Chromebooks! Have you ever wondered how bad chromebooks can be in the classroom and how they can cause distractions to the learning environment? Students would want to play games on their chromebooks whenever they get the chance. Teachers try using a spy check on the chromebooks but whenever they look away the students get the chance to play games. Another reason is schools don’t even have enough in the budget to pay teachers the average payment, so how would schools afford buying and repairing chromebooks every day?…

While reading Chapter 6: Reminding Language, Helping Students Remember Expectations, I was able to take way three key ideas from the chapter. The first key idea that I found important, was that children can only be reminded of what they already know. Although this sounds like common sense, it is important that all teachers are aware of this. In order for students to know what is expected from them, teachers need to model the expectations they are looking for. The first step for interactive modeling is to say what you will model and why.…

She believes, however, that since instructions are most often given this way in her classroom, that this is the way she should learn. This is why professors are under pressure to be more entertaining and not so boring with their lesson plans and lectures. Should teachers be entertaining to their students and keep their classrooms full or should they teach in a way so that kids receive a lot of information that might be boring in its delivery? Students who are not entertained in their classes are able to withdraw from them around the third week of the semester without having to pay for the class. In turn, the number of withdrawals from a particular subject sends up red flags to the college administrators. Suddenly no students are in those classes, which concerns administration.…

I am writing you this letter in hopes of persuading you to boost my semester average up. This class is the toughest one out of all my seven, and the work you stack on us is impossible to complete with the little time you give us. I have checked in with some of the students from other classes and they're not doing as much work as we are in your class. It's hard to be in school and work right after; it's even harder when we have a lot of homework to worry about.…

In an article titled “What’s Holding Back American Teenagers?” by author Laurence Steinberg, the claim is made that, “Our high schools are a disaster.” Steinberg begins by mentioning education policies which had recently come to the attention of Obama during his term as president. This involved two issues, the first being early-childhood education and the second being college accessibility; however, Steinberg’s article preferred to focus on a third issue: American high schools. Throughout the article, he continually reflected on research from organizations such as OECD, The National Assessment of Educational Progress, and The National Center for Education Statistics.…

I belong to a social group that learns how to write poetry. The social group is a class taught at SPC, with an instructor who orchestrates the learning process: what the students learn; how the students will learn the presented material; how to write poetry; and how to interpret and analyze poems. Each student in the class is a novice when it comes to writing poetry. Because the class is an elective, each student must have had an interest pertaining to poetry, whether it be why poetry is important, or how poetry can enrich someone’s perspective. Indeed, everyone including the professor wants to socialize and learn from others.…

Thou Shalt Attend In high school it was quite apparent that students could receive many absences with little or no consequences and still be able to maintain a good grade point average. However, in college that is not the case. Student attendance in college is important because students who attend class have better grades, have better relationships with their peers as well as professors and develop responsible habits and behaviors. Students who attend class often receive better grades on tests for they are present the day the material was taught.…

The remaining 90% is delivery of instruction,” means to me that good classroom management is needed, but you need to teach the students so they can connect to the science they are learning about. As their teacher, I should have high expectations and plan accordingly.…
