Followership and Servant Leader

Followership is an essential ingredient of a Servant Leadership and Servant Leader is a crucial element of Followership. Every leader must first understand the concept of being a follower, by putting their feet in their shoes. In addition, every follower must understand how to lead, by following a greater place of power. Followership and Servant Leader are unique, by definition, but gains to achieve improvements to the organization, but also can potentially dismantle the organization by toxic leaders and follower.
Followership is someone who serves loyalty to a superior to gain critical skills and techniques. Followers provide solutions, constructive criticism, clarification of the action, and accept responsibility and accountability. Followers’ feedback is important to the leader because once the leader decides; the follower takes his decision as his own throughout his organization or company. We must grasp the practice of Followership skills or we are doomed to plumage and ultimately have a negative impact on our own purpose. Toxic leaders are self-serving who uses his/her subordinates as a vessel to help him/her what he/she wants. Toxic leaders are also motivated by personal ambitions, by using positional power and their authority to terrorize and instill fear in the people who work for them. Passive followers are people who do not want to anything and just goes with the flow. Moreover, a “just make decisions,” based on what other people tell him he/she should do, rather formerly brainstorming different options for engaging decisions.
