The con business looked free, but there were rules involved. The director of operations was a man because men are trusted more than women in business. In society, we know how hard it is for women not placed in high positions because they are thought to be weak, emotional and helpless regarding some of the situations. Her job was only to stay beautiful and act so. She was not given responsibilities, not because she was not good at what she was doing but they thought that if she gets emotionally involved with Nicky she will lose control and her abilities. He never let her act alone in their case. He always assisted her, even without her knowing. When they went to the football game, they started to make small bet to each other and got one big fan of bets named Liuyan involved in the game. Nicky lost 1.1 million but then proposed him to bet any player on the field and Jess will guess the number of his Jersey. Jess started to get emotional because she was scared, but then saw one of their coworker standing on the field with a Jersey 55 and then understood what was happening and they won double of the 1.1 million.
