The president, Barack Obama, has declared a state of emergency for South Carolina, Florida, and Georgia.
To cope with this deadly hurricane, initial emergency responses will be recorded. State emergency management will be notified about the scope of the situation. If the situation seems to go out of municipality’s control, further assistance will be requested from the state government. Federal assistance will be requested by the state if needed.

To assist small businesses, ranchers and farmers affected by hurricane Matthews, an aid will be provided by the US department of Agriculture.
Federal Emergency Management Authority-FEMA is working at the Regional Response Coordination Centers in Philadelphia and Atlanta. They will correspond to any request for assistance from the states greatly affected by the Hurricane Matthew.
The government will assist those people financially whose homes were damaged or pay the costs of hotels if they have to move to some other place temporarily.
The liaison members of FEMA are working at the state emergency operation centers in North Carolina, Florida, South Carolina and Georgia. They will aid the state responses, as needed beforehand of the storm.
FEMA Incident Management Assistance Teams are redistributed to Emergency Operation Centers in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and Florida.
State and federal governments will assist with the clean-up and recovery process. The United States government has activated the Small Business Emergency Bridge Loan
