Fly In Program Reflection

I had the opportunity of participating in the 2016 Our Beloved Community Fly-In Program and those two days have forever made an impact in my life. Beginning with the welcoming environment of my host and her friends, I was able to experience the daily life of a Lafayette student by exploring the campus and the historic town of Easton. I was honored to meet and listen to a spoken word performed by Taaha Mohamedali, sit in symposiums that gave me a wakeup call about refugees in Syria, and explore a new corner of the United States within a matter of days.
