The smoke machines puffed their smoke which gave the area an eerie feeling like i was in a dark forest surrounded by tall dark trees. Flash! Flume walked out onto the stage and up onto his podium. He was like a king and we were his loyal followers. There were beaming panels of light behind him. The music started with a soft beat that grew louder and louder, then began the thumps of the the different music samples; the crowd erupted with cheering. The music sent waves through my body; it had taken control of me like a puppet. The music was my master. A prism of neon coloured lights spun on stage in time to the music, mesmerizing me as i watched. For the first half of his set, the screen behind him featured geometric patterns and particle explosions; it was like the universe was being dismantled and then put back together.
When Flume spoke it was like he was speaking directly to me. I felt euphoric, completely happy and no longer anxious or afraid. The music made me feel like i was invincible and could do anything. The people around me were now my friends and we were a big community sharing this life changing experience.
I realised as i was leaving i had the best night of my life. If you dont take chances you could be missing out on something spectacular. I’ve been to many concerts since then and have never felt afraid again.
The concert was a very personal experience, completely different to listening to it on Spotify,
